For the ski lovers the Ski Centre of Karpenissi, on Tymfristos (Velouchi), offers endless possibilities.

The nature lovers can choose to walk on the well-marked and shaded footpaths or try horse-riding and mountain-biking.

The more adventurous may visit the unique and imposing gorge of Pantavrexei (one of the most beautiful water-landscapes in the country), cross the gorges of Vothonas, Megali Spilia,Viniani, Krendis or rock-climb on short climbing routes (Karpenissiotis).

They can also descend the rivers of Trikeriotis, Megdovas and Acheloos by raft or kayak or they can paddle on the calm waters of the artificial lake of Kremasta by canoe. Trained instructors from various relevant companies active in the area organise these activities with the utmost safety.

Renowned monasteries (Proussos, Tatarna and others) present particular religious and touring interest.

Other places that are worth a visit are the folklore museums (Megalo Chorio, Proussos Monastery), the school of Korischades and the school of Viniani, where the first government of the Mountain was formed.

Evritania is dotted with traditional villages, houses and other buildings (watermills, traditional washing basins).

Almost every village offers accommodation facilities in traditional guest-houses.
