The region of Central Greece is characterised by extreme and impressive environmental variations.

Here you find vast mountain ranges, such as: Tymfristos, Oiti, Giona, Parnassos, Elikonas, Dirfis and Ochi.

The national parks of Oiti and Parnassos, the unique landscape of Delphi, the aesthetic forest of Steni in Evia are areas of exceptional beauty.
    Impressive rivers, such as Acheloos, Megdovas, Spercheios, Mornos, Kifissos, Nileas and dozens of other smaller ones, flow through gorges like Viniani, Mavri Spilia  and rich in flora ravines, such as Velitsa (Tithorea) and Reka feed a number of natural lakes (Iliki, Paralimni) and artificial ones (Mornos and Kremasta) or form fertile valleys like Potamia and Prokopi and  plains, such as Spercheios and Kifissos of Voiotia.

The varying rocky and sandy beaches of the Agean, Evia and the gulf of Corinth attract scores of tourists.

Unesco has listed Evritania among the 5 cleanest regions on the planet.
