Monastery of the Virgin of Skripou in Orchomenos

In the small town of Orchomenos we find the Byzantine Monastery of the Assumption of ‘Skripou’. It was built in 874 at the bottom of the Mycenaean citadel of Orchomenos.

Near Davlia-Voiotia, on the mountainside of Parnassos, we find the historic Monastery of Jerusalem. It is believed to have been built in the 11th century AD.
